Without a doubt, the most rewarding addition that my career as a Personal Trainer has brought into my life is the work that I do with Bridges for Parkinson's and Rock Steady Boxing. If you aren't familiar with this AMAZING program, please click here for detailed information.
Through Rock Steady Boxing, I met my mentor and owner of the Nashville and Franklin Rock Steady Boxing affiliates, and owner of Bridges for Parkinson's, Colleen Bridges. Colleen's love for her boxers is immeasurable, and it's no wonder. They are some of the most inspiring people I have ever met. Rain, snow, sleet, dizziness, a bad day, it doesn't matter. They're at their exercise classes fighting their disease. They are truly an inspriration to me and have been invaluable to me both as a person and as a Personal Trainer.
I spend much of my week doing one-on-one training with Colleen's boxers, some of whom suffer from dementia, and it's here that I find some of the happiest parts of my week, because I feel that it's my true calling as a trainer.
If you or a loved one suffers from dementia, Parkinson's Disease or another neurodegenerative disorder and would like to know more about how I can help you, I would absolutely LOVE to meet with you.
